I love sketching and taking progress pictures to see how my pieces grow over time. - Hannah
“Usually I opt to do lots of small projects over one big one, but my 2024 temperature blanket is the biggest project yet. Literally! I did not anticipate the size of the blanket to be enormous. I’m very behind on the days but the chart I made is a very helpful visual of what I need to do next.” - Brianna
“Creating prayer journals is my way to express faith and love and put it into my artwork. I love writing, and I write down my prayers every day. I wanted to share my God-given talents with other writers and prayer warriors in a way that felt meaningful. I start with a totally blank journal in front of me and say a prayer asking God to help me create the perfect journal to bring joy and closeness to him and help the person it’s meant for to find it. Then I get started with intuitive drawing. I don’t sketch or plan anything out- just go for it with my fine tip sharpie. After that I paint the drawing in with watercolor and outline in gold and white pens until I feel it’s ready. You’ll find two envelopes I’ve glued inside- one with a special prayer for the new owner and another with scripture. I love hand knitting the bookmark and putting the beads on as a final touch!”
